Holy Trinity Student Council – Grades 4 & 5
Holy Trinity’s Student Council helps develop leadership qualities as well as encourage civic and community mindedness. The members meet once a month to discuss business, such as school and community service projects. Members take notes during the meetings and relay the information to their assigned teacher and classmates. It is their responsibility to voice the opinions of their fellow students. Members have a good time as they meet their goal of making their Holy Trinity “community”, in school and in the town, a better place while developing character.
Student council sponsors the following, Thanksgiving Food Drive for the Family Food Pantry in Harwich, Advent Clothing Drive (kids giving to kids), Christmas Movie Afternoon, Live Nativity, School Spirit Day, Lenten Food Drive, and organizing and staffing the school’s Field Day.
Students in grades 4 and 5 are eligble to run for Student Council. Elections for the Student Council positions are held in late September and the positions run through the school year. All candidates must be in good class standing in order to participate.
