Pre-Kindergarten
The Pre-Kindergarten program is based on a developmental model of education. The classroom is designed to offer a stimulating, loving, nurturing and supportive learning environment for a young child. Activities, projects, and play areas are provided to encourage the child’s social, emotional, cognitive and physical growth.
Kindergarten
The kindergarten provides a developmental program for the child to be introduced into a classroom structure. The growth of the child through various activities include teaching science, math, religion, language arts, computer technology, music and art. The focus is on the importance of socialization at this age. Language arts, and math receive the greatest time allotment. Weekly instruction also includes social studies, phys.ed, penmanship, phonics, and library.
Grades 1 – 5
Complimenting the requirements as mandated by the State of Massachusetts, science, math, social studies, phys.ed, religion, language arts, penmanship, phonics, library, computer science, music, theatre and art continue to be part of the teaching structure through out all grades. The major difference is the time allotment given in each subject area. In grades 4 and 5, social studies, and science are given more time than on the primary levels.
